Childrens Dentist Adelaide
At Day One Dental, we have a dedicated children's dentist specialising in providing paediatric dental care for kids aged between 2 and 16.

Our children's dentist practice is designed to create a friendly, welcoming dental home for the whole family where all our patients can feel comfortable and relaxed, and our helpful team is always on hand to answer questions about your appointment, your teeth or the general dental health of your child.
Specialist children's dentistry and oral health therapists

Our team of dedicated paediatric dentists have extensive experience in providing a comprehensive range of dental services for your child, and they do everything they can to make having your teeth checked, oral hygiene check ups, and any other dental treatments or preventive care as stress-free as possible, even for children of a very young age.
Our approach is based around comprehensive dental care for children of all ages, and our paediatric dentists work with families to encourage ongoing good oral health.

In this way, children have an understanding of effective oral hygiene and experience fewer difficulties with their teeth and gum disease as they become adults.

Our paediatric dentists are committed to building lifetime relationships with patients, and we strive to make dental care a positive experience for your child so that regular dental examinations, dental awareness and the need for preventive care becomes a part of all our patients' lives.

As well as your regular dental check up, we also provide pediatric dental care services to deal with special health care needs and dental emergencies for children.
Dental care for children of every age

We are committed to providing the highest standards of paediatric dental care for children alongside our dental services supporting adult oral health — making us the ideal dental home for the whole family.

Just as every smile is unique, so is every child and patient, and that is why our dentist surgery is set up to cater for the very different needs of all the members of your family in every age group.

In addition, we are committed to meeting the special health care needs of children, and so we provide paediatric dentistry at special needs schools across Adelaide, as well as dental care for patients with special needs or complex medical conditions at our Torrensville practice.
Children's dental and oral health care

Our approach to paediatric dental care is all about taking the fear and anxiety out of a visit to our practice, so that children (and all our patients) are able to have a positive view of visiting a dentist and oral health. We want young people to have happy teeth and to feel familiar with the dental care environment, so that they are comfortable when having pediatric dentistry.

That's why when you come for a dental check-up, you can enjoy headphones featuring Netflix or a choice of music in every room in our children's dentistry practice, as well as free tooth brushes and tooth paste.

Our paediatric dentistry also focuses on preventive care — such as regular visits with an oral health therapist to spot the early signs of tooth decay, oral hygiene routines, fissure sealants, etc. — as this helps to reduce the potential for problems in later life, one of the main reasons why some patients find visiting the dentist so traumatic both in childhood and as adults.
Specialist paediatric dentistry services
Paediatric dentistry is a specialised field and not every dental practice is set up to cater for the needs of children and young people.

At Day One Dental, our dental team is committed to the concept of paediatric dental care and oral health, which is why we have created unique dental treatment experiences for both adults and children, so that each of these age groups' very different dental health needs can be taken care of.

Our children's dentist team is also focused on setting our patients on the road to good oral health later in life, which is why our paediatric dentists are committed to preventative dentistry, providing educational advice, and raising dental awareness for all members of the family.

We can also devise an extensive hygiene program that is tailored to each patients' specific paediatric dental care needs.

Other children's dentistry services we provide include preventative dentistry, fitting custom made mouthguards for sport, and treatment such as fillings and restorations, extracting baby teeth, nerve treatment (pulpotomies) and fitting of crowns.

Call us on (08) 7084 2141 to find out more about our full range of paediatric dentistry services, or to book an appointment at our children's dentist practice on Henley Beach Road.
Child Dental Benefits Schedule
The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) provides $1,026 in benefits over a two-year period to eligible children aged 0 - 17 in order to help meet the costs of paediatric dentistry, including having teeth checked, getting fissure sealants, or any other dental treatment or preventive care that is required.

Eligible families are usually informed by letter about whether they are entitled to this children's dentistry benefit, or you can get in touch with Medicare directly.

At Day One Dental, our children's dentist team is always happy to make an appointment for patients who are eligible for Child Dental Benefits Schedule payments, both for regular dental examinations and dental emergencies.
